An objective equivalent to 24-720 mm on a pocket camera, almost. This is the new Cyber-shot DSC-HX50V Sony just announced and with dimensions of 108.1 x 63.6 x 38.3 mm and a weight (including battery) just over 270 grams becomes the first so-called traveling in daring compact with 30x zoom. An optical luminosity with f3.5-6.3 and 3 axis stabilizer that promises to double its efficiency with respect to that used in previous models.

HX20V Relay, sporting a 20x zoom; higher resolution is another argument of this renewal. This Cyber-shot has a small 20-megapixel CMOS (18 in the previous generation) and 1/2, 3 inch. A sensor that opens the door to capture bursts of up to 10 frames per second.

In the list of specifications are Wi-Fi (another new feature compared to its predecessor) and GPS. It has, as is usual in this range, manual controls and full HD video recording.

Sony is expected to launch in with a price of 440 euros. The firm will accompany this model with another version called HX50, devoid of GPS, available for 420 euros.
